It’s having issues burning a few differnet iso’s, although I’m still working on figuring out if it is the iso itself or the media, or if it really is the drive.
I’m leaning towards it being either media or drive, because the iso itself is working fine, and when mounted back onto the pc with Daemon Tools I can re-use DvdFab to re-rip it – one would think if the iso was the issue, I wouldn’t be able to use a ripping app to re-rip the disc again.
I’ve actually got my drive re-burning a movie that failed (miscompares and unrecoverable read errors) right now, but there’s one thing that confuses me. The dvd player downstairs appears to have no issue playing it back.
Maybe it’s just part of the disc thats bad or something funky.
I hate PHPBB3’s patching system; it spends more time hashing and comparing files than it does actually patching.
Upgraded to MyBB and got most of the stuff off the other forums; the stuff that’s missing is stuff I opted not to keep.
The rest is history I guess; we get to use mybb now! Check it out!
Picked up Formula D though, looks awesome.
Beat Mass Effect 2 once, working on second playthrough, then might go back to ME1 and see if I can get past the bugs long enough to finish it so I have one of my own ME1 characters to import.
Later for now!
Okay so earlier I tried to install WP-United so the phpbb3 forum and wordpress would link together (bridging they call it) and basically users on phpbb3 would exist in wordpress and vice versa, blog posts in WP would have a corresponding topic in phpbb3, and comments would go to the topic in phpbb3.
Didn’t happen, 45 minutes after starting the install epic-failed so I went back to last nights backup. Fix’d.
Epic Find on the other hand was this: http://www.amazon.com/Asmodee-FDUSASM-Formula-D/dp/2914849648/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1265278057&sr=8-1
My apologies for the horrible link, but basically this is a remake of an older game called Formula De` (note the extra e). Differences: Almost none, other than a graphics makeover and addition of “street racing,” which I quite frankly couldn’t care less about. Works with the original maps, so I’m happy.
Just gotta wait for the tax refund(s) – state refund is coming in about 5 days so it might not be long before I have another board game to keep Risk 2210 company.
So I replaced my monitor with a 42″ 1080p tv from Insignia, although the audio out just blew on the back so I get to call them later and schedule a service thing from the Geek Squad.
Other than that, I’m looking at getting off my butt again and getting ELX-4 Remake 2 at least working, although I know I’ve said that quite a few times. So we’ll see if it actually happens. Screenshots if all goes well will follow.
Yeah, I’m late. Stuff it.
Old one I forgot was up for halloween cause it was black and orange; this one’s easier on the eyes I think. Not this harsh color contrast stuff.
I -had- set this up so it’d be ready for a webcomic, but I’ve no ambition or ideas to actually make a decent comic at this point, so I put it back to one of the older theme.
That’s about all for now; got a few ideas in my head, but none of them are really going anywhere right now.
Theme’s messed up obviously, I don’t really like this one, but it’s the default that’s required to get ComicSys running. Gunna be taking a peek around later for others, might end up having to gut it and do one myself!
But for now, good to roll!
I’m gunna be restarting an old project called Offworld; at the time it was just a crappy sprite-comic, but with my replacement Wacom pen on the way, I’m thinking I’m gunna go back and re-do it -again- but not with sprites (or at least limit my use of them SEVERELY).
So while I get ComicSys up, it’s possible the entire site will go AWOL for a bit. It’ll be back, dun worry if it dies.
